Special Events

The Parks and Recreation Department hosts three special events annually.

Christmas Parade
The Maiden Christmas Parade is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year. The parade is free to participate in, all registration is done online at https://maidennc.recdesk.com. Registration opens each year in September and closes a week prior to the parade. The parade begins at 3:00 pm and runs from East Maiden Baptist church to Maiden Middle School. 
Luminary Service
The Luminary Service is held on the second Sunday in December. During this time luminary bags displaying the names of loved ones that have passed are placed throughout the cemetery. Names can be submitted free of charge to the Maiden Parks and Recreation Department. Music and light refreshments will begin at dusk.

Fall Festival
The Festival will be held on the first Saturday of October from 10 am to 4 pm. This is a free community festival with kid's rides, face painting, a beauty pageant, a car show, a chili cook-off, and more. If you are interested in signing up to be a vendor please fill out the form below and return it to town hall.
